Chief Executive Stornoway Port Authority | Situated in the Scottish Western Isles, Stornoway is the capital town, Principal Seaport and Gateway to the Hebrides.
The Stornoway Port Authority (SPA) manages the Port and has been successful in developing the infrastructure to support a multi-functional hub for commercial shipping, car and freight ferries, cruise liners, yachts and fish landings.
This is now a pivotal time for SPA and we're looking for an entrepreneurial individual with strong leadership skills to build on this success and work with stakeholders to grow the Port's profitability, source innovative funding channels and generally broaden its business where there is commercial opportunity.
As the new Chief Executive, and member of the Authority, you will advise on the future direction of the Port, bringing the energy and influencing skills required to effect change and meet new demands. You must therefore be highly commercially aware, and be able to demonstrate a sound background in business development and change management. This role offers a rare opportunity to make a significant impact on both the direction and shape of this organisation.
